TOP GAMES OF THE WEEK

ACC Championship Game (Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC, Dec 7, 2013, 8pmEST) #1 Florida State Seminoles (12-0) vs. #17 Duke Blue Devils (10-2) = The good news for Duke is that they won the ACC Coastal division in a magical season. The bad news, they will need real magic to keep up with their opponent FSU. FSU won’t be taking this game lightly, but the Blue Devils are feisty.  MY PREDICTION = FSU 56 Duke 28

Big 10 Championship Game (Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Ind, Dec 7, 2013, 7:15CST) #2 Ohio State Buckeyes (12-0) vs. #7 Michigan State Spartans (11-1) = Ohio State looked anything but the #2 team in the country last week in a rivalry game with Michigan that came a 2pt away from ending their run. They say offense wins games, but defense wins Championships, and this is a championship game. So I’m calling for an upset that will send the BCS people scrambling. MY PREDICTION = Mich. St. 34 OSU 31

SEC Championship Game (Georgia Dome, Atlanta, Georgia, Dec 7, 2013, 4pm EST) #3 Auburn Tigers (11-1) vs. #5 Missouri Tigers (11-1) = This is the ‘Tiger Bowl’, one nobody saw coming. Auburn is a magical team that seems to win just about every time they shouldn’t. Missouri is also quietly having the same type, just not as magical. In the end its going to come down to can Mizzo’s defense stop the Auburn rushing attack? MY PREDICTION = Missouri 48 Auburn 44 ot

#14 Oklahoma Sooners (9-2) at #4 Oklahoma State Cowboys (10-1) = OU has been so up and down on offense this season, that this game is easy to predict. Especially with the way the Cowboys are playing on defense. MY PREDICTION = OSU 45 OU 31

#21 Texas Longhorns (8-3) at #8 Baylor Bears (10-1) = This is a tough one to call. Baylor has struggled as of late with so many injuries. Texas has changed after their own list of major out for the season injuries, losing another linebacker for probably the year with a laserated liver. In the end though, Texas has just lost too many key leaders for the season to pull this one off. MY PREDICTION = Baylor 55 Texas 34

PAC 12 Championship Game (Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe, Ariz, Dec 7, 2013, 5pm MST) #10 Stanford Cardinals (10-2) at Arizona State Sun Devils (10-2) = With the PAC 12 being the only championship game that is at the home of the top seed, this game is very interesting. Stanford is good, but showing chinks in its armor that past teams didn’t have. ASU seems to be getting better, and better. Even thought Stanford owned ASU at home early in the season I am calling for an upset MY PREDICTION = ASU38 Stanford 34

#13 Central Florida Golden Knights (10-1) at SMU Mustangs (5-6) = This time last year in almost the exact same situation SMU spanked UCF to make it to 6-6 and a bowl game. SMU seems to be UCF’s tragic flaw over the years as well. But SMU’s best player Garrett Gilbert may be out for this game. If he plays I think SMU might upset the knights. MY PREDICTION =  With Gilbert healthy= SMU 48 UCF 45/ No Gilbert = UCF 45 SMU 7

#18 Louisville Cardinals (10-1) at #20 Cincinnati Bearcats (9-2) = This is a tough one as the Cardinals have played down to competition all season, while Cinncy has played above their station all year. MY PREDICTION = Cinn 39 Louis 37 3ot

TOP GAMES OF THE WEEK

#1 Alabama Crimson Tide (11-0) at #6 Auburn Tigers (10-1) = This is the biggest matchup this series has seen since Cam Newton was a Tiger. Bama has been playing through the easy part of their schedule and hasn’t played anyone for real in a while, while Auburn has been fighting its way back up into the Elite. One thing to note though, Alabama is always ready for a challenge, and all they have to do is stop the run. MY PREDICTION = Alabama 38 Auburn 24

#3 Ohio State Buckeyes (11-0) at Michigan Wolverines (7-4) = One of the most beloved rivalries of all time only this one has lost some luster at the Wolverines can’t seem to come together. But this is a rivalry game, so throw out the records and bring the pain. So watch out for a tough one Buckeyes. MY PREDICTION = Ohio State 38 Mich 34

#4 Clemson Tigers (10-1) at #11 South Carolina Gamecocks (9-2) = A Battle of offense verses Defense, with the key being how healthy SC can stay on offense during the game. MY PREDICTION = Clemson 38 SC 30

#20 Texas A&M Aggies (8-3) at #8 Missouri Tigers (10-1) = A battle of old Big 12 foes with Missouri landing the right to win the East with a win. But I’m expecting an angry Johnny Football unless his shoulder is still out of wack. MY PREDICTION = Texas A&M 45 Missouri 41

#9 Michigan State Spartans (10-1) at #28 Minnesota Golden Golphers (8-3) = MY PREDICTION = MSU 31 Minn 17

#29 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (8-3) at #13 Stanford Cardinals (9-2) = Stanford got some luck with Oregon falling apart. Stanford still wants to impress all those who say a 2 lose team shouldn’t be rated so high. Plus ND isn’t as good as they were last season. So expect a defensive game, with Stanford showing their talent. MY PREDICTION = Stanford 34 ND 10

Arizona Wildcats (7-4) at #14 Arizona State SunDevils (9-2) = What a difference a couple weeks can do. Arizona is coming off a blowout of former National Title Contender Oregon, and ASU just beat UCLA to clinch their division for the Conference championship game. These two hate each other so expect some points and whomever can keep their turnovers to a minimum to win. MY PREDICITON = ASU 45 Ariz 38

#27 UCLA Bruins (8-3) at #12 USC Trojans (9-3) = What a difference an end of the season can do. At the beginning of the season UCLA was supposed to challenge for the Conference Title, and USC was supposed to be in the dog house. Now USC is ranked higher, and has a possible new Coach already. MY PREDICTION = USC 27 UCLA 24

Texas Tech Red Raiders (7-4) at #25 Texas Longhorns (7-3) = The loss 2 weeks ago to Oklahoma State is starting to look a lot better after what State  did to previously #3 Baylor the next week. Also it left Texas in a 3 way tie for first in the Big 12. In the slot that used to have A&M, but no longer on ESPN for some reason, expect Texas to attack on defense. MY PREDICTION = Texas 48 TT 24

TOP GAMES OF THE WEEK

#3 Baylor Bears (9-0) at #8 Oklahoma State Cowboys (9-1) = This is the game of the year for the Big 12, also these are the only 2 teams in the big 12 who can play offense and defense. State has proven they can stop the run in their beating of Texas, but Baylor is just the most explosive team I’ve seen in many years, maybe even ever. What could be going for the Cowboys though is the possibility of bad weather. If it gets ugly, and snowy they have a real shot at the major upset. MY PREDICTION = Baylor 39 OSU 35

#10 Texas A&M Aggies (8-2) at #21 LSU Tigers (7-3) = Last season the Tigers caught Manziel as he was just learning to play and beat them on Kyle Field. This year Johnny Football looks for some revenge. The good news for the Aggies is that LSU is not as stout as they have been in the past on defense, even though their offense is better than it has been in a while. MY PREDICTION = T A&M 27 LSU 25

#11 Missouri Tigers (9-1) at #28 Ole Miss Rebels (7-3) = You watch in a couple years this will become an actual rivalry game. Ole Miss is on the verge of being good, but they just aren’t in an elite status yet. The Tigers are playing for the right to face Alabama in the SEC Championship game. MY PREDICTION = Mizzo 34 Ole Miss 21

#17 Arizona State Sun Devils (8-2) at #16 UCLA Bruins (8-2) = This gonna be a good one. Both teams bring in very mobile offenses, with ASU having the edge there, but the edge on defense is to the Bruins. Look for this one to be a really good one. MY PREDICTION = ASU 41 UCLA38 OT

#19 Wisconsin Badgers (8-2) at #25 Minnesota Golden Gophers (8-2) = Its been a magical season for Minnesota as they have forced the nation to take notice of them as they fight for their Coach who’s been in and out of the hospital. But I think it will come to an end with the smash mouth running attack of Wisconsin. MY PREDICTION = Wis 24 Minn 10

#27 Brigham Young Cougars (7-3) vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (7-3) = This is the Conference Championship Game for the Independents if they had one. Both are strong on the defensive side of the ball with the slight edge going to the Cougs, and them coming out even on the offensive side of the ball. MY PREDICTION = ND 27 BYU20

#29 Texas Longhorns (7-3) vs. The Media = After a horrid 1-2 start that led to the firing of their DC Manny Diaz, and the hiring of Greg Robinson the Horns shut the critics up winning 6 straight. But after a strong beating at home to now #8 Oklahoma State the critics will start the fire Mac Brown message again. Forgetting that Texas is without both offensive and Defensive Team Captains, their Starting QB, RB, RT, DT, ROLB. So get ready for Texas and Mac to be talked about more than any other team this week leading into their week off till the Thanksgiving game vs. Texas Tech.
