TOP GAMES OF THE WEEK

#6 Miami Hurricanes (7-0) at #2 Florida State Seminoles (7-0) = Its been a long time since this game mattered. During the 80’s-90’s this was the game of the season every year. You have to wonder if the U had their mind on this game or the NCAA last week when Wake almost knocked them off. MY PREDICTION= FSU 45 Miami 21

#10 Oklahoma State Cowboys (6-1) at #15 Texas Tech Red Raiders (7-1) = TT almost squeaked out a win in Norman last week, now they will try to finish one against their brother school OSU. The Cowboys have played well at times this season, and bad at others. The musical chairs at QB, is a worry. This could be an upset as the Big 12 is very balanced this year. MY PREDICTION= OSU 45 TT 31

#18 Michigan Wolverines (6-1) at Michigan State Spartans (7-1) = Michigan is a weird team at times, they kind’ve remind me of Oregon at putting up the points and yards, others they just stink. Sparty had its first offensive explosion last week, while managing to keep up the heat on defense. MY PREDICTION= MSU 28 Mich 24

Navy Midshipmen (4-3) at #25 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (6-2) = This lately has been a decent game. The Midshipmen don’t see ND as the unbeatable juggernaut they have been in the past. But Navy is young in a lot of areas, and not up with some of their better teams. MY PREDICTION = ND 38 Navy 30

TOP GAMES OF THE WEEK

NC State Wolfpack(3-3) at #2 Florida State Seminoles (6-0) = This is a trap game. Last year it was NC State who ruined FSU’s season at home. Add to this the fact that FSU is coming off a bug smashing of previous #3 Clemson. I fully expect the Seminoles to dominate and take it home. But don’t be shocked if this stays a lot closer than expected. MY PREDICTION= FSU 45 NCState 10
#14 UCLA Bruins (5-1) at #3 Oregon Ducks (7-0) = I fully expect UCLA to show up for this game. Nothing gets the message through from a coach to his team other than taking a beating. Oregon has the most explosive offensive in football, but their defense is suspect at times. Expect a full on battle here. But it is at Oregon. MY PREDICTION= Oregon 69 UCLA 55
#4 Ohio State Buckeyes (7-0) at Penn State Nittany Lions(4-2) = This will be the best test of the Buckeyes win streak of the season. The PSU is no easy out, and has a true freshman quarterback who could become a great one soon. Just ask Michigan who they beat at home in overtime. MY PREDICTION= OSU 45 PSU 38

#23 South Carolina Gamecocks (5-2) at #7 Missouri Tigers (7-0) = If the Tigers can win this they will take their division and get to play Alabama at the end of the season.  Nobody is more shocked than me that Missouri has stepped up the way they have. They are also catching the Gamecocks at the right time with all their injuries. MY PREDICTION= Mizzo 39 SCar 35
#10 Texas Tech Red Raiders (7-0) at #18 Oklahoma Sooners (6-1) = The Red Raiders are way ahead of schedule, and OU is still struggling to find an identity on offense. Expect a lower scoring game than expected. MY PREDICTION= OU 27 TT 24
Boise State Broncos (5-2) at #28 BYU Cougars (5-2) = This could be one of the better matchups of the week, with both trying to make their way into a decent bowl game and into the upper rankings. MY PREDICTION= BYU 38 Boise St 35
#30 Texas Longhorns (4-2) at TCU (3-4) = The horned frogs have struggle through a tough season with injuries. Texas is just starting to gain some belief in themselves as a team. The defense is starting to come around, and if the offense can continue to run the ball, and get key plays from Case McCoy who knows how good they can be. This is also a revenge game with TCU being the team that upset Texas at home on Thanksgiving. But of note TCU is a pesky bunch; just ask anyone that’s played them. MY PREDICTION= Texas 27 TCU 25

TOP GAMES OF THE WEEK

Washington State Cougars (4-3) at #2 Oregon Ducks (6-0) = I know what your thinking, there is absolutely no chance that the Coug’s can even hand with Oregon. But this is always what several teams have thought this season as Mike Leach has quickly turned them around. Just don’t be shocked if this is a lot better game than expected. MY PREDICTION= Oregon 55 WSU 38

#5 Florida State Seminoles (5-0) at #3 Clemson Tigers (6-0) = The Game of the Year so far. Both teams have title aspirations, and the winner is going to be the first runner up waiting for either Oregon or Alabama to falter. Both have been outstanding, and both have Heisman throphy possibilities at Quarterback. This will come down to turnovers, and special teams as they are both so evenly matched in the normal departments. MY PREDICTION= FSU 44 Clemson 21

#6 UCLA Bruins (5-0) at #16 Stanford Cardinals (5-1) = This game has lost some of its luster with Stanford being upset last week by Utah. But this is still A possible PAC-12 Championship Game redux just like last season. But I see the Bruins as being a lot better team than they were last season. MY PREDICTION= Stanford 34 UCLA 14

#29 Auburn Tigers (5-1) at #9 Texas A&M Aggies (5-1) = Johnny Football has proven himself over and over as the best player in football, Able to leap tall buildings, and even the poor play of his own defense. MY PREDICTION= Auburn 34 A&M 31

#25 Florida Gators (4-2) at #15 Missouri Tigers (6-0) = Now is the time for the Tigers to prove they are more than just James Franklin’s team. Because just after their domination beating of Georgia, they must find a way to make due without Franklin for maybe the rest of the season. MY PREDICTION= Mizzo 27 Florida 24

TOP GAMES OF THE WEEK

#4 Oregon Ducks (5-0) at #24 Washington Huskies (4-1) = Washington just missed their big opportunity to step up in the Pac-12 when they narrowly missed upseting #5 Stanford last week. But now they face possibly their most talented foe. One who's yet to be proved and may be missing their best piece depending upon how bad the injury is. This should be a lot closer than most shall expect. MY PREDICTION= Oregon 42 Wash 32

#5 Stanford Cardinals (5-0) at Utah Utes (3-2) = What should come to no surprise Utah is not exactly a national power, but they are a tough out. Add to this the fact that Stanford is coming off an emotional revenge win over Wash, and its on the road. This should be a tough one to the end. MY PREDICTION= Utah 34 Stanford 33

#22 Missouri Tigers (5-0) at #9 Georgia Bulldogs (4-1) = Im not sold that Missouri is for real, this could go a long way into stating their case. Especially with how beat up the Bulldogs are. I expect Georgia to be very deep at all positions, and for their 3rd string RB now starter to have a big game though. MY PREDICTION= Missouri 34 Georgia 31

Texas Longhorns (3-2) vs. #11 Oklahoma Sooners (5-0) = Major Injures have taken their punches on Texas with the losses of their starting QB, OLB, CB for possibly the season. Add to the fact that the natives are growing restless, this is a bad time to be a Longhorn. Or is it? OU Looks to finally be hitting on all cylinders with their offense catching up with their defense that was till TCU almost took them to the woodshed. Look for Mac Brown to possibly announce his retirement at the end of the year if this game isn't at least competitive. The Sooners should be huge favorites which should help Texas out a little. In the end though, the Longhorns just don't have a talented enough play caller, so look for them to eventually, if not straight a way fall behind. MY PREDICTION= Texas 38 OU 28

#16 Florida Gators (4-1) at #13 LSU Tigers (4-1) = This game will knock one team out of title consideration. As it tis the season of the SEC to beat themselves up and decide who will play for the national title, if not both team. Florida is looking a lot stronger as of late with a younger better quarterback at the helm. But LSU's Mettenberger may just be too strong. MY PREDICTION= LSU 34 Florida 24
