BIG GAMES

#15 LSU Tigers (6-2) at #1 Alabama Crimson Tide (8-0) – The Tigers are just starting to find themselves and play good football but now find themselves in the heart of darkness playing an Alabama team that has been angry all season. This “Should” be a good one, but it could go either way. LSU has a very good defense, a strong OLine, and a really good RB. If they can keep from turning the ball over they have an upset alert chance here. – Alabama 34 LSU 24

#25 South Carolina Gamecocks (6-2) at #2 Georgia Bulldogs (8-0) – Georgia has been the best defense in football all season. They have too much depth, and too much talent to be beaten by mere mortals. Carolina is good on defense but struggles on offense. This could be closer than most expect, but Georgia should pull away with their awesome running game. – Georgia 34 S. Carolina 17

#11 Virginia Tech Hokies (7-1) at #3 Miami (Fl.) Hurricanes (7-0) – The “U” has been a miracle team all season. Somehow finding ways to win no matter who they play. The Hokies and their next Michael Vick have been solid only losing to Clemson. – Miami 27 VT 24

#5 Clemson Tigers (7-1) at #24 NC State Wolfpack (6-2) – Clemson has everything it needs to get back into the national title race and a reeling team in the Wolfpack who just got their butts kicked last week by ND in their way. – Clemson 30 NC St. 27

#6 Ohio State Buckeyes (7-1) at Iowa Hawkeyes (5-3) – This is this weeks’ trap game as Penn State almost found out several weeks ago when they escaped 19-21. Iowa is a tough place to play and their fans are rabid for all home games, plus the Buckeyes are ready for a low after the high they are on after upsetting then #2 Penn State. So this could be a major upset alert. But I expect Urban Meyer to have his team grounded and ready. – OSU 31 Iowa 30

#9 Oklahoma Sooners (7-1) at #8 Oklahoma State Cowboys (7-1) – Two of the best Quarterbacks in College football face off. Both are looking to make a name for themselves in the Heisman race against their hated rival on national tv. OU Baker Mayfield (2,628yds, 30td) vs. OSU Mason Rudolph (2,866 yds, 22td). – OU 55 OSU 51

#10 Penn State Nittany Lions (7-1) at #20 Michigan State Spartans (6-2) – the Lions are coming off blowing an 18 pt lead on the road to now #7 Ohio State. They seemed like the one of the best teams in football the whole season right up until the end of this game. Michigan State is stout on defense, but weak on offense, so this should be over soon. – Penn State 27 MSU 24

Texas Longhorns (4-4) at #13 Texas Christian Horned Frogs (7-1) – Texas has been a tough out all season. They are the best 4-4 team in football, playing much better defense than expected, but managing to lose very close games. TCU is coming off a brutal road loss to Iowa State were their offense never got on track and turned the ball over at the worst times all game. – TCU 36 Texas 33 OT

#14 UCF Golden Knights (7-0) at Southern Methodist Mustangs (6-2) – SMU has been playing well as of late, but they are now running into a Golden Knights team averaging 51 pts a game. UCF has been putting up video game stats so far. UCF 51 SMU 44

#16 Iowa State Cyclones (6-2) at #30 West Virginia Mountaineers (5-3) – There is no rest, and no games off in the Big 12. Just about every team can put up amazing numbers against you. Straight off upsets of then #4 TCU, #2 OU they must travel to West Virginia to take on an angry Mountaineer team who just got beat at home last week by Oklahoma St. This feels like an upset brewing. – ISU 28 WV 25

#23 Arizona Wildcats (6-2) at #18 USC Trojans (7-2) – Arizona has been like a video game themselves when Khalil Tate gets most of the snaps at QB(now 4-0 when that happens). USC and future #1 pick Sam Darnold are looking to at least win the Pac-12 now that their National Title hopes seem to be over. Look for this to be the best game in the West this week. – USC 55 Arizona 52 OT

#19 Stanford Cardinals (6-2) at #27 Washington State Cougars (7-2) – If anyone can figure out Washington State please let me know. One week they are beating up on USC and the next week they are losing by 34 to Cal. They have one of the best QB’s to ever play the position according to the record books, but can’t seem to play consistent anymore. Stanford has the best running back in football (Love), but he didn’t play last week and they almost lost to a bad Oregon State team. – Wash. St. 37 Stanford 30

Army Cadets (6-2) at Air Force Falcons (4-4) – Air Force is coming off a big win at Colorado State and has not lost since Navy came to town and beat them. Army is battle test having lost a close one to Ohio State this season. This is going to be a great game and should be, but won’t be a national broadcasted game. – Air Force 45 Army 41
