THURSDAY
#29 Memphis Tigers (5-1) at Houston Cougars (4-2) –
Memphis has been nearly invincible at home this year knocking off two ranked
teams and have finally climbed into the rankings themselves. The Cougars have
been dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey the best they can, taking
any place open to practice. They are coming off a rough road loss to Tulsa that
wasn’t even close, allowing two rushers to go for over a 100 each. I see them
bouncing back. – Houston 35 Memphis 34
FRIDAY
Arizona State Sun Devils (3-3) at Utah Utes (4-2) – The Sun
Devils where a big part of The week of upsets last week knocking off #4
Washington. It was a nice surprise for them with their coach feeling the burn
of the hot seat he is on. Utah wanting to surprise then #15 USC went for two
only to lose by one. If they had won they too might be poised for another upset
by ASU. But with the tough loss, I’m going to have to go with the Senior led
Utes to bounce back. – Utah 40 ASU 31
SATURDAY
#3 Penn State Nittany Lions (6-0) at #15 Michigan
Wolverines (5-1) – This is a tale of two teams. Penn State has arguably the
most exciting player in the land with Saquon Barkley running all over teams,
catching passes, and returning kicks. That plus the play of Trace McSorley at
Quarterback have made them a force to be on offense. The Wolverines on the other
hand have a truly mediocre offense matched with one of the most destructive
defenses in the land. This will be a battle of will with the game probably
coming down to if the Wolverines can score. – Penn State 17 Mich 9
Syracuse Orangemen (4-3) at #6 Miami Hurricanes (5-0) –
Syracuse is coming off one of the biggest upsets in many decades in defeating
what many thought was the best team in the land last week against Clemson.
Miami has been living dangerously lately, but keeps finding ways to win,
especially at home even though they have poor fan support. – Miami 31 Syracuse

#9 Oklahoma State Cowboys (5-1) at Texas Longhorns (3-3) –
Oklahoma State might have the most potent passing attack in football, while
Texas has played well against the pass at times. They keep finding ways to play
their worst against the pass when it really matters. Tom Herman has had a tough
year with so many injuries on the Longhorns offensive line making it hard to
get his offense moving. The play of true Freshman QB Sam Ellinger has reminded
many of Tim Tebow. So this could start off slow, but get good at the end. The
Cowboys are just too potent though. – OK St 45 Texas 34
#11 USC Trojans (6-1) at #13 Notre Dame Fighting Irish
(5-1) – The only thing that has been stopping USC lately has been themselves.
If they can cut down on the turnovers they could be one of the best in College
Football. Notre Dame on the other hand has been quietly winning games and
sneaking their way up the rankings. They only have a one point loss to #2
Georgia. This should be one of the games in this rivalry that is remembered. –

#18 Central Florida Golden Knights (5-0) at Navy
Midshipmen (5-1) – UCF has been lights out so far this season after cancelling
a few games after the Hurricane. They are averaging 51 points a game so far.
Navy is coming off a big upset in Memphis after finally getting ranked in all
polls for the first time in a while. If the Midshipmen show up angry they could
make this another upset. But they will have to find a way to keep the Knights
off the field with their option attack. – UCF 45 Navy 37
#19 Washington State Cougars (6-1) at Colorado Buffalos
(4-3) – The Cougars are coming off what Coach Mike Leach has said is the worst
any of his teams has ever played in a game. (Lossing to Cal 3-37). While
Colorado has been up and down this season. Expect WSU to bounce back. – Wash St

#24 Kentucky Wildcats (5-1) at Mississippi State Bulldogs
(4-2) – Kentucky has been quietly winning, and climbing the charts due to its
defense. The Bulldogs jumped up into the rankings once after a big upset only
to fold two weeks in a row and drop back out. This should be a close low
scoring fest. – Ky 13 MSU 10
#25 San Diego State Aztecs (6-1) at Fresno State Bulldogs
(4-2) – Last week Boise State figured out the Aztecs by slowing down their run
attack and whipping them on all sides of the ball, leading to their first loss
of the season. The Bulldogs have only lost to #1 Alabama and Washington. This
will be for the Championship of the West division of the Mountain West
basically. – SD State 31 FSU 30
Wyoming Cowboys (4-2) at Boise State Broncos (4-2) – A real
western affair on blue turf. This should be a good one. But it seems the
Broncos have finally gotten on track. – Boise State 34 Wyoming 20
