QB

Maty Mauk, QB, Missouri, So, 6-0, 200- holds national high school career records for passing completions (1,353), passing attempts (2,110), passing yards (18,932), total yards (22,681), and passing touchdowns. Finally gets the chance to take over the reins of the Tigers after filling in a few games last season.
DeShaun Watson, QB, Clemson, Fr, 6-3, 190- 5 star recruit who has come to Clemson at just the right time to compete for the starting job. Even if he doesn’t start right away, expect him to have the job by the end of the season.

RB

Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU, Fr, 6-1, 224- Those that have seen him play compare him to a cross between Adrian Peterson and Eric Dickerson. Great size, speed, agility and most importantly vision. Is he the next Great back of the storied SEC?
Barry Sanders jr, RB, Stanford, So, 5-10, 192- I just said Barry Sanders, so enough said right lol. Unlike his dad he will get to see the field full time a year earlier. But like his dad he’s in an offense that is built to run the ball.
Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama, So, 6-3, 244- Broke a 60 year old record national rushing record with 12,232 rushing yards. Averaged 10.9 yds per carry only 35 carries, Is this the year he gets a chance to shine or will Yeldon get all the carries?
Shock Linwood, RB, Baylor, So, 5-8, 200-Ok you may have already hear of this guy, he had almost 900 yards last year as the backup averaging 6.9 yds per carry, and was named Freshman All-american. Expect him if healthy to challenge for 2k plus.

Ricky Seals-Jones, WR, Texas A&M, R-Fr, 6-5, 225- The cousin of Eric Dickerson finally gets to hit the field after taking a redshirt season to rehab a knee injury from his Sr year in Highschool. Has the unique mix of TE size with the speed and hands of a wide receiver.
Angelo Jean-Louis, WR, Marshall, Fr, 6-0, 175- Originally committed to Miami(Fl), but failed to qualify academically. An explosive guy on a team with a great QB, who loves to sling the ball.

TE

OJ Howard, TE, Alabama, So, 6-6, 240- Everything you can ask for in a TE, Big, can block, and can catch like a wide receiver. Should have a break out year with Bama

Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M, Fr, 6-5, 250- Rated the #1 player overall by several sites. Had 20.5 sacks as a sr, including one game with 8.5, and he’s going to a really bad defense that needs him.
Malik McDowell, DT, Michigan State, Fr, 6-6. 292- Should be in the rotation, and see plenty of time on the field for one of the top defenses in the country.
Chad Thomas, DE, Miami(FL), Fr, 6-5, 233- Many mention his great size, and agility. All of them mention how smart he is, and plays.

LB

Connor Strachan, MLB, Boston College, Fr, 6-2, 240- Not many big inside linebackers can run as well as Connor, with his 4.4 speed at 240. Now add in that the offense is likely to struggle so he should be on the field a lot. Expect him to join a long list of great linebackers in the history of BC.
