****************Big Games For This Week****************

#1 Alabama Crimson Tide (8-0) at #6 LSU Tigers (7-1) = No game is bigger, or at least they keep telling me this that this game. Last year LSU went to Bama and beat them on their home grass, only to have to unfairly face them again in the National Title game. Now a the role is reversed with Bama having to travel. Only this time the Tide have just about as good of a defense only their offense is starting to get better as AJ matures. Honestly there will be a lot of hype for this game. But i expect it to be more like the NC game than the regular season one was last year. As The Tigers just aren't as good as they were. The quarterback play has been spotty, and theirs no WeedBadger to make big plays. My Prediction- Alabama 38 LSU 13

#26 Oklahoma State Cowboys (5-2) at #2 Kansas State Wildcats (8-0) = This is a trap game if i've ever seen one. Especially in the Big 12 were if one week you leave your offense at home, an upset can happen. State is playing alot better since they got their groove on offense so expect this to be a good one to start with the Wildcats opening it up late. My Prediction- KSU 45 OSU 31

#4 Oregon Ducks (8-0) at #18 USC Trojans (6-2) = At the beginning of the season this was gonna be the statement game for the winner on who would play for the national title. Who would then have to play the other again setting up a possible national title game rematch. But this is the Pac-12, not the SEC so things did not work out that way. Oregon is falling in the polls due to the fact that they don't really have any big games on their schedule, and USC has proven that depth is a key factor in a title run. My Prediction- Oregon 58 USC 45

#14 Texas A&M Aggies (7-2) at #21 Mississippi State Bulldogs (7-1) = I would love to say that this was gonna be a grudge match good game. But i've thought the State was overrated for some time. After being exposed by the Tide, i expect Manziel to run and pass all over this one dimensional team. My Prediction- Texas A&M 48 MSU 24

#23 Texas Longhorns (6-2) at #17 Texas Tech Red Raiders (6-2) = This could very well be the game of the week. With both teams famously having shootouts in Lubbock, with the edge lately usually going to the Red Raiders. The edge is firmly on the Red Raider side as they have played some defense at times, while Texas just hasn't been the same without Jordan Hicks making the calls from his Linebacker position. The winner of this game will put themselves in prime position to get one of the better, yet not to great bowls aligned with the Big 12. My Prediction- Texas Tech 58 Texas 52

#28 Arizona (5-3) at #30 UCLA Bruins (6-2) = This should be a scoring fest with the winner setting themselves up for a nice bowl game, and a higher ranking down the line. Both team are fairly young, and should be very good as they mature. My Prediction- UCLA 49 Ariz 48

My NFL Power Rankings after Week 7, Predictions

                                                  NFL POWER RANKINGS

1. Atlanta Falcons (6-0)- The last undefeated team left. Or should i say the only one yet to stumble. They have played at times like they could beat anyone, and also have played down to some opponents.

2. Houston Texans (6-1)- Still the team to beat from what i can see. As they are playing great on all sides of the ball. They just hope not to meet anymore teams in that big of a need to get back on track.

3. Chicago Bears (5-1)- Nobody, i mean nobody is playing as good defense as they are. Which could be considered a surprise with Brian Urlacher admiting that he is only about 80 percent and probably not going to get better. Yet the rest of the team has gotten better, and this has allowed them to almost cause turnovers at will. Too bad the offense can't seem to put it together, because this is a SuperBowl team waiting for the to.

4. New York "Football" Giants (5-2)- Seperating themselve from the pack, will all cylinders and everything is going perfectly. Plus there's nothing like a "Friendly" game in Dallas.

5. San Francisco 49ers (5-2)- Most of the time they are dominant, then every once in a while they just take a game off it seems like.

6. Green Bay Packers(4-3)- Which team are they? The one that showed up and put a hurting on Houston, or the one who lost to Indy? Right now it shouldn't matter. They have hit the easy part of their schedule and should stack up some wins.

7. Baltimore Ravents (5-2)- Was last weeks abuse a sign of things to come, or will they be able to rebound with Suggs returning? It's really gonna come down to can their offense start to take over games like they should.

8. Minnesota Vikings (5-2)- Still riding a wave of shock that though they would be 2-5 not the other way around. There biggest problem is that they play young, with a lot of ups and downs.

9. Arizona Cardinals (4-3)- Their whole season rest on weither or not Skelton can put it together and play like the quarterback who earned the 1st start of the season. If he can at least play well, they should be a playoff team, if not they will be watching them on tv.

10. Seattle Seahawks (4-3)- The Seahawks are a great team at home, and average on the road. If they can steal a few on the road, then they will be playing a few extra games. Watchout if they steal alot, and people have to come there in the playoffs.

11. New England Patriots (4-3)- The road has been a tough place for them this year, one more tough one, and then a two game home stand should see them take a big step towards taking their division.

12. Denver Broncos (3-3)- Don't look now but Peyton is starting to hit his stride, if he can continue his latest trend then they will be hunting down people in the playoffs.

13. San Diego Chargers (3-3)- Who knew that getting better on the road meant they would drop home games. They will either get it together, or Norv should be looking for a new job as someones offensive corodinator.

14.  New York Jets (3-4)- Nobody is playing as hard with so little as Mark Sanchez. His best wideout couldn't make most teams. The team is playing hard, even though they are less talented than most teams. This should reflect well on their coach. But i don't know how many games they will win.

15. Miami Dolphins (3-3)- So far the Dolphins have been playing over their heads. Reggie Bush looks like a true running back he always thought he was and carries this offense. That is if he survives the Bush vs. Jets D game. The NFL should watch this one closely.

16. Indianapolis Colts (3-3)- Andrew has had a lot of Luck, and has at times played like a probowler, and at other times not so much. This team is still a year or two away, but they are ahead of schedule.

17. Tennessee Titans (3-4)- Don't look now but two straight win, along with a Chris Johnson sighting, and a winable game at home coming up.

18. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-3)- Injuries bad, hulk says. Haven't strung anything consistant so far this season.

19. St. Louis Rams (3-4)- Much needed break is coming, but not fast enough for some.

20. Philadelphia Eagles (3-3)- How do you spell suddenly mediocre? Vick!

21. Dallas Cowboys (3-3)- How do you spell been mediocre, and own the place? Dallas Cowboys! No one will be more surprised than i if they upset the New York Giants at their home stadium aka Jerry World. No DeMarco, No Sean Lee, No Offensive line, don't put this on Romo.

22. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-4)- Don't look now but they are starting to play offense. They keep this up and the Buccaneers will be very dangerous.

23. Washington Redskins (3-4)- RGIII, and Alfred Morris, and OLine have been great. The rest of the team not so much.

24. Cincinnati Bengals (3-4)- How bad have they been lately? They actually let the Browns win a game, and grab a tie in the battle of Ohio.

25. Buffalo Bills (3-4)- Why did they spend $100Million on a guy Houston just let go? Well lets see how their defense has been so far this year....424 yds allowed per game, dead last against the run. They better watch out or they will be in the Big 12 next year playing with Texas.

26. Detroit Lions (2-4)- He who much is given, much is expected. Well i'm still expecting them to start playing well, not sure when it will happen.

27. Carolina Panthers (1-5)- I totally understand Cam Newton getting angry about losing. When you should worry is when he stops caring. They are a lot better than their record, with a tough scedule so far.

28. New Orleans Saints (2-4)- I'm just gonna say this. #1 in passing, #32 in rushing, #30against the pass, #31 against the run. Bottom line, it doesn't matter how good you are on offense if your defense is just that bad.

29. Oakland Raiders (2-4)- With the young talent this team has they should be alot more explosive on offense and better on defense. I don't know what to say.

30. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5)- Is it time to trade for Tebow yet? Gabbert out, MJD out, yeah!

31. Kansas City Chiefs (1-5)- Ask any true Chiefs fan and they will tell you that its been a LONG time since they had a real Quarterback. Maybe its time to trade for someone, or move up in the draft. Wait a minute if they can just hope that Cleveland wins a few more they can get whoever they want.

32. Cleveland Browns (1-6)- Don't look now but the Cleveland Brown are threatening to climb out of the cellar and make this a season...ok just kidding. They won a game, and it was against the hated Bengals. But now comes the hard part, building on that win and stacking some together. Lets see what happens next.

Week 8 Matchups and Predictions

Thursday

Tampa Bay (2-4) at Minnesota (5-2)= I would love to say i'm taking TB in an upset, but by the time i got around to posting this they had already played. I would have taken Minnesota at home and would have missed it anyway. Though it thought it would be close. Final Score Tampa Bay 36 Minn 17

Sunday

Carolina (1-5) at Chicago (5-1)= If the Panthers are smart they will bench Cam for this game. Not because of him, but so he doesn't get hurt, physically or mentally. Because there will be alot of turnovers in this game by Carolina. My Prediction= Chicago 24 Car 6

San Diego (3-3) at Cleveland (1-6)= The road warriors take on the Browns who are hoping to make some noise. My Prediction= SD 38 Cleve 24

Seattle (4-3) at Detroit (2-4)= Seattle great at home, not so much at home. My Prediction= Det 45 Seattle 24

Jacksonville (1-5) at Green Bay (4-3)= Wow if Jacksonville wins this game the apocolypse might happen or something. My Prediction= GB 44 Jack 17

Indianapolis (3-3) at Tennessee (3-4)= If Chris Johnson can find some lanes, this could be over fast. But expect the Colts to bring it. My Prediction= Tenn 28 Ind 24

New England (4-3) at St. Louis (3-4)= This is gonna be close like when the Pats went to Seattle. So don't be surprised if the Rams can steal it. My Prediction= NE 24 St. L 21

Miami (3-3) at NYJets (3-4)= This is gonna be like a college rivals grudge match. Expect a lot of hitting, and fifteen yard penalties to keep em honest. My Prediction= NYJ 34 Miami 31 ot

Atlanta (6-0) at Philadelphia (3-3)= This looks like that game when the undefeated team finally stubbles. Especially with everyone being down on the Eagles, so don't be shocked. My Prediction Philadelphia 34 Atlanta 31

Wash (3-4) at Pittsburgh (3-3)= This one is a toughy, well since its in steeltown. Pitt 41 Wash 38

Oakland (2-4) at KC (1-5)= A rivalry since rivalries were formed, yet this has become the Battle of Mediocrity. My Prediction Oakland 34 KC 24

NYGiants (5-2) at Dallas (3-3)= The Giants have owned Jerry World since they smacked the boys in its opening game. Expect Dallas to play well early, and even keep it close. But falter in the 4th. My Prediction NYG 38 Dallas 27

New Orleans (2-4) at Denver (3-3)= This one should look like a Big 12 battle with no bullets left at the end of this one. My Prediction Denver 44 NO 41 ot

Monday

San Francisco (5-2) at Arizona (4-3)= This could have been a really good game, if Skelton had a few more of them under his belt. The 49ers have a way of mixing up people like him so they should have some points to score on defense. But on the other side the Cardinals will bring a lot of pressure so it should stay close. My Prediction SF 17 Arizonia 9

Playoffs a look ahead

****************Big Games For This Week****************

#14 Mississippi State (7-0) at #1 Alabama (7-0)- This could be considered at trap game if the Crimson Tide ever fell for those, especially at home. The real question is will Alabama ever falter, not likely against a one dimensional team like the Bulldogs. My Prediction- Alabama 38 MSU 3

#13 Texas Tech (6-1) at #3 Kansas State (7-0)- The really good Tech teams have always had trouble in big games when they are undefeated, much better luck when they are underdogs. Klein and the Wildcats have been playing well, and only getting better. My Prediction- KSU 45 TT 24

#4 Florida (7-0) at #18 Georgia (6-1)- This should be a real good when with the way Florida has been playing great defense lately. Georgia has had a whole week to get ready for this one after getting totally destroyed by South Carolina. So this should be a lot better than some might expect. My Prediction- Georgia 34 Florida 31

#5 Notre Dame (7-0) at #6 Oklahoma (6-1)- Nobody is playing better defense than Notre Dame especially at home, too bad this is a road game. Oklahoma after a hic up decided that they would try and be the best defensive team too. But unlike the Fighting Irish they have learned to play offense. This could be the game of the week. My Prediction-OU 27 ND 17

#27 Duke (6-2) at #11 Florida State (7-1)- I would love to say this is gonna be a good game. But we all know what happens to Cinderella when they have to travel to Talahasse, Florida. It may even start off as a good one for a while, do to the fact that the Seminoles sometimes like to play with their food. But in the end it shouldn't be close. My Prediction- FSU 45 Duke 24

#30 Cincinnati (5-1) at #15 Louisville (7-0)- The Bearcats might have been looking ahead last week, in their upset lose. Louisville has been playing just good enough to stay undefeated lately, so who knows what might happen in this one. My Prediction-Cinn 38 Louisville 35

#24 TCU (5-2) at Oklahoma State (5-2)- State has been playing well on offense this season, along with all the Big 12 in the Great offensive explosion. TCU has fallen ill with the bug as well this season. This one might be as good as the the TCU/TT was last week. My Prediction- OkSt 56 TCU55

****************Big Games For This Week****************

#2 Oregon (6-0) at #21 Arizona State (5-1)- This is a trap game for Oregon, or a chance to showcase to voters why they should stay at number 2. ASU has been playing well so far this year, which is a surprise especially with so many new faces. My Prediction- Oregon 38 ASU 21
#3 Kansas State (6-0) at #19 West Virginia (5-1)- Oh how good a matchup would this have been just a week ago, before they pulled a Texas in Lubbock? I can tell you that two long road trips in a row is tough, but so is beating WV in their moutnain fortress. Especially coming off a poor showing in a loss. So i'm calling for the upset. My Prediction- WV 45 KSU 34
#10 South Carolina (5-1) at #5 Florida (6-0)- Another big game mared by an upset a week ago. But all is not lost. A win for either team keeps them alive and in the hunt for a national title berth. The road has been tough for SCarolina as of late a trip to Baton Rouge, now into the swamp. Again i am calling for the upset after an angry week of practice for the Gamecocks. My Prediction- SCar 27 Fl 21
#9 LSU (5-1) at #22 Texas A&M (5-1)- Johnny M has been dazzling, breaking an old SEC record for all purpose, then doing it again. LSU on the other hand wouldn't know what an offense was if it bit them on the butt. I see these two starting a real rivalry to replace Texas and A&M over the next few years, so this will be chippy and ugly. My Prediction LSU 22 A&M 20
#12 Florida State (5-1) at Miami (Fl) (4-3)- I know this isn't a big game anymore, but does anyone remember when this game used to have National Title importance? My Prediction FSU 44 Miami 34
Va Tech (4-2) at #13 Clemson (5-1)- This is a big opportunity for VT to get back in the picture, and against a Clemson team that usually finds a way to fade down the stretch. Clemson would like to show people that they are for real. My Prediction Clemson 45 VT 41
#14 Texas Tech (5-1) at #23 TCU (5-1)- This one could be the best game of the weekend, if each team can keep playing like they did last weekend. The Red Raiders have found a defense out of no where, and TCU found a way to replace their star quarterback. But in a game like this i usually go with the home team. My Prediction TCU 48 TT 47
Nebraska (4-2) at #27 Northwestern (6-1)- The Wildcats would love to go smell the Roses or at least get into the championship game to do so. Nebraska has been looking for an opportunity to say hey i matter, which they never could do in the Big 12. My Prediction NW 38 Nebraska 34
#30 Iowa State (4-2) at Oklahoma State (3-2)- This isn't a big game, just one that might be really good. The Cyclones have been playing really good this year. Remember what happened last year, they upset the undefeated Cowboys at home and ruined their National Title run. Now is the time for revenge in Stillwater, or will it happen a 2nd time?  My Prediction Iowa St. 58 Oklahoma State 51
Baylor (3-2) at Texas (4-2)- This should be a fun game to watch with neither team even knowing how to spell defense. Baylor has the upper hand as the Longhorns will  probably barring a miracle have to start their backup quarterback Case McCoy who last a start in a loss in Waco against Baylor. The Bears have the receivers to catch the Longhorns on a lot of deep balls. My Prediction Baylor 59 Texas 45
North Carolina (5-2) at Duke (5-2)- This is a big time rivalry usually with National Title importance...in basketball. But hey when is the last time that these two teams meet with such good records? My Prediction UNC 48 Duke 34
Michigan State (4-3) at Michigan (4-2)- Back in the old days these two teams almost ran the Big 10, well except for adding Ohio State to that, but still. This could turn into a battle with State having a defense good enough to confound Robinson, but not much offense to keep up with him. My Prediction Mich 34 MSU 21
Minnesota (4-2) at Wisconsin (5-2)- Two teams looking to get back in their Conference title hunt. Minnesota will be a wild card this week on how they play due to the fact that their Coach had a seizure after the game. Teams respond in different ways so who knows, plus heading to the Cheese Nation to play is not easy either. Wisconsin 34 Minn 28

Texas Longhorn's Football- A Mid Season Report

Here’s the mid season report and I have to say what was the quote, don’t get mad if I don’t get it right. But it goes something like this; "Those the cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it". The season started off ok, this progressed to much better, only to fall flat in October against their biggest rival. Truth be told it is ok to lose a game now and then. It isn’t ok if that game is against OU, it is beyond not OK for that game to be a out and out beating like the one today. I don’t know if the answer is for Mac Brown to step down, or for him to get back to doing what made Texas great. Like making big plays in big games something we had done against weaker teams this year, but failed to do against the top notch ones. We have also begun to revert back to those teams pre-Vince Young, that were really good against the good to weak teams, and would fall flat in the big games. We have also reverted back to playing soft. Something I just cannot stand. The teams that won Championships (Conference and National) would hit you in the mouth, attack, and make the big play when it mattered (If they had too, usually they had the game well in hand). Coach Brown hit the self destruct button on the offense right after the loss to Alabama, and Texas hasn’t been the same since. Maybe he destroyed too much, or the rebuilding job is just gonna have to take a lot longer.

Offensively before the OU game David Ash had been making great strides in raising his completion percentage, cutting down his turnovers, making better choices at critical times, and being an overal strong game manager(11tds, 3ints). Then the OU game came and the wheels just came off. Also he may be done for the season, or at least a good amount of games if that giant lump on his wrist turns out to be a bad broken wrist on his non throwing hand. Case McCoy may have a chance to get back into the quarterback battle if he gets to play a few games, and hasn’t been bad when coming in relief, at 10-16-166yds, 3 tds, and 0 ints. Malcolm Brown had been hard to catch averaging 6.1 per carry when he got them, but again he went down with a nagging injury and hasn’t played since game in Stillwater. Joe Bergeron has been solid especially near the goalline and leads the team with 9 scores, but hasn’t been able to get through many holes on the rest of the field. Freshman phenom Johnathan Gray has shown signs of becoming a real home run threat with long runs in two big games. He may have to be the work horse for the team if they decide to go even more run based with Ash out. Jeremy Hills has played strong especially on 3rd down when he gets a chance to. Wide outs Mike Davis, Jaxon Shipley, and Marquise Goodwin have appeared and disappeared through out the season, with no one really stepping out as the number one go to receiver. The offensive line at times has held up well, especially with all the injuries that haven’t been major but have caused some shuffling of positions. That said the Sooners proved that if you can get pressure on Ash, and shut down the run then Texas will not be able to do much. Overall on offense we have been good most of the time, and yet just utterly awful against OU. As a whole the team needs more consistency, and has to cut down on all the injuries, maybe its time to get a new training staff, or better training, because somebody is hurt all the time.

Defensively the Longhorns have played some of the worst football any Longhorn ever has. As of this last game they are giving up 32.5 pts per game, allowing 449.7 yards per game, and 209.2 of it being rushing. I don't think many people really expected the Longhorns to be this bad against the run. Granted they are set up to slow down and stop the pass, but they haven't done it. Many can point to the middle of the Ole Miss game when Jordan Hicks went down as the point that they just stopped being able to stop anyone. While this is true, the competition they have faced since then has been a lot tougher than before he was injured. Never in my life as a lifetime fan have I seen so many missed tackles, straight up poor wrapping, up and missed assignments as I have of this which was supposed to be one of the best defenses in the country. Other than the West Virginia game pressure on the quarterback has been non excitant, and so has the ability to make a stop on 3rd down, where in the last three games Texas Opponents has gotten the 1st on 3rd down 46.5% of the time, and when they actually hold them on 3rd Texas Opponents are 10 of 13 on 4th down this season that’s a whopping 76.9 percent against them on 4th down. No wonder West Virginia went for it 5 times and got all 5. On defense its time to start having open tryouts for all the positions, to see who wants to play, or maybe its time to show Manny Diaz the door. Because through out the history of the Texas Longhorns we have prided ourselves on playing hard, smash mouth defense. Right now this is just awful. Tell me another defensive Cordinator in the country who wouldn't love to have the bookends we have at Sr Alex Okafor, and Jr. Jackson Jeffcoat. Or a secondary with Kenny Vaccaro at strong, and Carrington Byndom, and Quandre Diggs at corners? The Linebackers were gonna be young, but very talented. What has happened? If you can't win with stars like these are at least hold people under 32 pts a game maybe you should be doing something else with your time.

Just go word that Jr. Jackson Jeffcoat is done for the season with a torn left pec, the same one he that had previously kept him out of spring ball, Jordan Hicks should be considered a happy surprise if he comes back. So things are looking grim on that side of the ball.

My NFL Power Rankings after Week 5, Predictions

Sad News to Report- Alex Karras, former Detroit Lion and also known for being Websters Dad on the show Webster died from Kidney Failure at age 77.

                                           NFL Power Rankings

1. Houston Texans 5-0 (#1LW)- The Texans just keep rolling meeting every challenge head on. The Triplets on offense just keep on plugging away. The real question is who is really safe from JJ Watt? I know all NFL quarterbacks are getting twitchy even the ones not on the Texans schedule. They have a tough road ahead with Green Bay, then Baltimore coming to town, then later a road game at Chicago.

2. Atlanta Falcons 5-0 (#2LW)- The Falcons are looking like the team they thought they would be last year. What the old Dolphins might have looked like with a strong defense and a good running if they feel like it back.

3. Baltimore Ravens 4-1 (#4LW)- No matter what obstacles are in their way they just keep finding ways to overcome them. There was talk at the beginning of the season on weither or not they would even make the playoffs. So far they have shut up their critics. Their game with Dallas should be interesting.

4. San Francisco 49ers 4-1 (#5LW)- Wow Alex Smith looked like Montana, and the whole offense looked like they were on a video game..are we sure this world is real? Are we in the matrix. This is gonna be one tough team to beat each and every week.

5. Chicago Bears 4-1 (#8LW)- The Monsters of the Midway are back and searching for dinner. They have dined on every team so far this season covering up the mistakes the offense makes and then scoring themselves. Tony Romo still has nightmares about them.

6. Minnesota Vikings 4-1 (#11LW)- The real surprise team of the League or tied with Arizona. Their offense is pure balance that all team strive for, and the defense is playing good as well.

7. Arizonia Cardinals 4-1 (#3LW)- They finally stumbled on the road against an amazingly loud crowd and a bone crunching defense. But they are still a surprise team that if they can get back on track and find a running game with Williams out for the year they will be good.

8. New England Patriots 3-2 (#9LW)- Tom Brady found a way to keep the pressure off, just keep handing the ball off. I've know for some time if they ever got a real running game it might be over. Ridley just might be that guy

9. St. Louis Rams 3-2 (#14LW)- The defense is only getting better, if the offense ever catches up, or manages to keep its stars healthy, they will be one tough out.

10. New York Giants 3-2 (#16LW)- Well they aren't exactly lighting it up, just playing blue collar kick you in the face and knock you over football. They are still the defending champs. A big remach of the NFC Championship game looms against SF this week.

11. Seattle Seahawks 3-2 (#15LW)- No real stars on this team, because they are all stars and playing as a true team. When did the NFC West decide to get so tough?

12. Pittsburgh Steelers 2-2 (#17LW)- Defensive injuries keep piling up just as the offense starts to get healthy, oh well that's football. The Steel Curtain will only get better with all these backups learning on the fly. Should make for an interesting game with rival Titans on Thursday though.

13. San Diego Chargers 3-2 (#7LW)- Just when things were starting to look up, they go and blow a few games to make everyone question them again.

14. Green Bay Packers 2-3 (#6LW)- Those in Cheeseland waiting for the real Packers to please stand up may be waiting a while, as the offense took another hit with Benson going down for a while, and the health of Finley coming into question again. It is noted that they were playing a team on a high playing for a sick coach and sometimes things just don't go your way. Still they aren't making things easy on themselves this season.

15. Philadelphia Eagles 3-2 (#10LW)- Most Eagle fans will tell you that this season feels like they are 0-5, or 1-4 with they way they are playing. Sometimes its better to be lucky than good, but if they don't start playing good real soon they will be looking at the draft and not the playoffs.

16. Cincinnati Bengals 3-2 (#13LW)- Don't look now but the Bengals can pass, play good defense, just can't run to save their lives. What have we said about balance?

17. Denver Broncos 2-3 (#14LW)- Doesn't appear to matter Tebow, Manning the Broncos just can't beat the Patriots. Well doesn't mean the season is over.

18. Indianapolis Colts 2-2 (#29LW)- I know ridiculous jump up the ladder. But something tells mean that their play just wasn't because they were playing for their coach. I think some of it had to do with the quick maturation of Andrew Luck. They could be back on track.

19. Washington Redskins 2-3 (#18LW)- If RGIII ever learns how to really slide and i don't mean into shoulders, then he will have a long career. They are playing well inspite of all their injuries.

20. Detroit Lions 1-3 (#19LW)- I keep waiting for them to explode, and if it doesn't happen soon , then a few random Lion fans may explode.

21. Dallas Cowboys 2-2 (#21LW)- Did the week off help, has the ship been righted? It may not matter with a trip to Baltimore coming. The true question is can some of the Cowboys weapons step up and not put it all on Romo?

22. Miami Dolphins 2-3 (#25LW)- Still up and down what you would expect from a team starting a rookie, but they are playing hard and not pulling any punches which is all you can reasonably ask.

23. Buffalo Bills 2-3 (#20LW)- Ran into the buzz saw that is the 49ers last week or is the defense just that bad with Williams hurt? They need to get Spiller some touches soon when healthy.

24. New York Jets 2-3 (#23LW)- Its Tebow time, not because Sanchez has been playing that bad. But because its just time ok. The rest of the offense looks like a chicken with its head cut off. Though they gave all they had on monday against the best the NFL has to offer so far.

25. Tampa Bay Bucanneers 1-3 (#22LW)- Another team that was glad for a week off. They need to come together on offense and defense and special teams.

26. Carolina Panthers 1-4 (#24LW)- We see it all the time. The Sophomore slump, though this one appears to be especially bad after promises of playoffs, and the great year he had last year. Time to mature and thrive and set up for a high running back in the draft.

27. New Orleans Saints 1-4 (#31LW)- BASIC LOSING IS OFFICIALLY OVER! Well maybe. Got lucky, and they still don't have their coach back. But not going 0-16 is good.

28. Tennessee Titans 1-4 (#26LW)- They look old and stagnant. Nothing like a thursday night game against your hated rivals to liven things up. Especially against one that has some injuries.

29. Kansas City Chiefs 1-4 (#27LW)- Not shocking that they would clap when Brady Quinn got in, which is what i believe happened. Though the fans needs to show respect for a guy like Matt Cassel who spends his off time building holmes and helping those who lost their homes from tornado's and such. Where was his clapping then?

30. Oakland Raiders 1-4 (#30LW)- Basic Good News/Bad News situation. Good News= If they keep this up then they will be in line for a really good draft next year. Bad News= the stink.

31. Jacksonville Jaguars 1-4 (#28LW)- Regression in progress. It's time to start working with Gabbart on getting better or getting out of town.

32. Cleveland Browns 0-5 (#32LW)- Well Richardson looks good, and they may be able to draft another quarterback next year lol

Week 6 Matchups and Predictions

Thursday
Pitt (2-2) @ Tenn (1-4) = This will be alot closer than it should be at least to start because there is a lot of hatred between the two teams and the better team is still sore. = Pitt 24 Tenn 17
Sunday
Dallas (2-2) @ Baltimore (4-1) = Well we could see one of two games. Either the Cowboys have gotten their stuff together and will show it for a few games, or this is a team heading to a high draft pick. Either way i've got Baltimore winning. = Baltimore 24 Dallas 13
KC (1-4) @ TB (1-3) = This should be a battle of Ineptitude. = TB 12 KC 10
NYG (3-2) @ SF (4-1) = This is the payback game and rematch of last years NFC title game that ruined wide receiver Kyle Williams day for a while. I bet you if he gets to return a punt he will cover up the ball.= SF 38 NYG 24
Indy (2-2) @ NYJ (2-3) = Two teams of contrast. The Colts have a lot of talent and things are looking up. The Jets are looking for talent, and looking down as they do. Will anybody ever give Tebow a real chance or do they have to be 2-10 before it happens. = Indianapolis 31 NYJets 21
Cinn (3-2) @ Cleve (0-5) = I think its about time for the lowly Browns to finally get a win. The key will be who can run the ball and not have turnovers. = Cleve 24 Cinn 23
StL(3-2) @ Miami (2-3)= The teams from the west are a real hard out at home, well they are on the road, and minus their best wideout. Miami is just gonna keep plugging away. = Miami 28 St. Louis 24
Oak (1-4) @ Atlanta (5-0) = Trap game alert, the Falcons have been so good, and the Raiders have been sooooo bad. The Falcons also have a tendacy to play down to competition. = Atl 34 Oak 21
Det (1-3) @ Phil (3-2) = Now is the time for the real Lions team to step up, against the mistake prone Eagles, who are begging to be beaten. = Detroit 45 Phil 34
Buff (2-3) @ Ariz (4-1) = Like i said the teams from the west are a hard out at home. Buffalo has been playing bad on defense, luckily for them Ariz's offense hasn't exactly been on. = Arizonia 20 Buff 17
NE (3-2) @ Seattle (3-2) = Like i said the team from the west are a hard out at home. But this isn't just anyone coming to town. So expect this to be decided on weither or not the Patriots can keep running the ball. If so then this will be over fast, if not this could get uuuuggglllllyyyy. = NE 19 Seattle 13
Minn (4-1) @ Wash (2-3) = The Vikings are playing very well on offense leaving most defenses guessing what is coming next. Washington's defense is guessing what is coming next against bad offenses. So you don't need to be a genius to figure this one out. = Minn 41 Wash 27
GB (2-3) @ Houston (5-0) = This is the game of the week candidate up there with the Giants/49ers game. The edge goes to Houston due to home field, and no running game for the Pack as well as J.J. Watt. He taken names people. = Houston 38 GB 35
Monday
Den (2-3) @ San Diego (3-2) = There is alot of hate between these two teams since time began. So expect nothing less. = Denver 38 SD 35

****************Big Games For This Week****************

#3 West Virginia (5-0) @ Texas Tech(4-2)- Just a few hours ago everything was right in the Red Raider Universe. they were undefeated, ranked #1 Defensively, and fixing to play OU. Now a loss later and the hotest offense in the country comes to town. A few years ago there was a Texas Tech team that could have hung with this Mountaineer team. Final score would have been 100-99 in 7ot's or something. But times have changed. My Prediction- WVirginia 77 TT 45

#4South Carolina (6-0) @ #17 LSU (5-1)- Last week LSU got their one big weakness exposed...offense. Something they haven't had since Alabama stole it from them. The Gamecocks are coming off wipping an old time rival badly. The real question is, is the hole that Florida gashed running the ball still open for Marcus Lattimore and company? My Prediction- SCar 24 LSU 9

#5 Kansas State (5-0) @ #30 Iowa State (4-1)- Iowa State is coming off a big win knocking off TCU granted a TCU without their star quarterback, but still a big win. KSU usually finds a way to win the tough games. My Prediction- KSU 58 Iowa St. 33

#18 Stanford (4-1) @ #7 Notre Dame(5-0)- Is this the first Notre Dame team actually ready for Prime Time in a long time. This is also a big test for them. As these are very long time rivals, with strong defenses, and a deep need to run the ball. Maybe i just don't have a feel for Notre Dame but i just have that upset feeling tingling. My Prediction- Stanford 14 Notre Dame 13

#10 Oklahoma (3-1) vs. #13 Texas (4-1) (Cotton Bowl)- From where i grew up there is no bigger game than this, nothing that matters as much as this game. The Longhorns tried their best last week but luck wasn't on their side, but they did better than most and actually had their chances to upset WVir. Usually they wait till the OU game to take that first tough loss. But this team is solid on all fronts, and will be getting back a few key starters on defense. The Sooners finally found their grove last week getting some revenge on Texas Tech. For the 1st team all year the offense seemed to gel. My Prediction Texas 45 OU 38

#26 TCU (4-1) @ #21 Baylor (3-1)- TCU just isn't the same team without Pachall running the offense. Baylor is very potent on the other gand and at home. My Prediction- Baylor 54 TCU 33

#25 Texas A&M (5-1) @ #22 Louisiana Tech (6-0)- This could be a real wildone, with both offenses just starting to hit their strides. My Predition- LT 58 TA&M 52
