Texas Longhorn Marquise Goodwin a True Athlete

Just this Saturday(May 14) the sophomore at the home of their biggest rival(OU in Norman, Oklahoma) won his second consecutive Big 12-Outdoor long jump title. If you add in the indoor he has won three straight. He is also the defending National Champion, and the current record holder at the University of Texas. Expect to see this guy not just catching passes from who ever is the quarterback at Texas but jumping for Olympic gold in 2012.

In highschool at Garland, Texas he was a two time World Junior Champion in the long jump, and 4x100. He set the national high school record for the long jump 26-10, finishing fifth in the US championships. He is also one of 20 prep athletes to ever go over 26 feet. Makes you wonder if they shouldn’t just give him the ball on the goal line and ask him to jump over the defense. In a time when most college football players are struggling just to make the grades and play football. He does it all. He jumps over the Big 12, and the rest of the nation, Catches passes, has run a few times, returns punts, and kickoffs. Marquise Anderson is in the truest essence of the word an Athlete.

  2. Wide Receiver, and he was Gilbert's favorite target when they were both freshman. I was hoping he would find him more last year. But Garret couldn't seem to find anyone.
